One of Australia's most iconic arts organisations based near Circular Quay is seeking an experienced HR Advisor/Payroll Officer to join their amazing team. This is a hands-on role that offers plenty of variety & scope.
Day to Day
- Complete end-to-end fortnightly payroll processes, reporting and
employee management in the payroll system, including variance reports
- Draft bi-monthly HR metric reports and briefs based on accurate data
and statistical analysis to identify key issues and suggest alternative
solutions
- Work with the Financial Controller and Manager Financial and Business
Analysis to deliver accurate data for labour forecasting and leave
provisioning
- Provide employee relations advice and guidance to line managers and
employees across the organisation on the Enterprise Agreement,
policies and conditions
- Undertake regular monitoring and auditing of performance management,
WHS and HR compliance across the organisation
- Engage and participate with the HR team review and update of HR
policies and procedures in accordance legislation, best practice and
organisational requirements, including the established framework of
workplace consultation for policy changes and implementation
- Contribute to ongoing engagement with staff through the coordination of
the annual performance planning and review process, surveys and
initiatives
- Participate effectively in the ongoing processes of the organisations

You'll Need
You will also be able to demonstrate experience across:

- Prior use and knowledge of Frontier Software’s CHRIS21/ iChris payroll
system
- Proven ability to produce HR metrics and manage labour forecasts
through manipulation and aggregation of large amounts of data from
multiple sources
- Advanced Excel user knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to apply sound judgement, discretion and
confidentiality
- Working knowledge of relevant employment legislation with
demonstrated ability to interpret and apply enterprise agreements
- Proven ability to engage with managers up to Executive level in the
provision of HR advice, guidance and reporting
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement HR Projects with limited
supervision

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management and/or
equivalent professional experience in generalist HR positions
