Day to Day
Reporting directly to the CEO this is an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven individual to make a significant impact in the rapidly growing global security market. As the Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role within a dynamic global sales team, with colleagues based in Australia, the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
Your primary focus will be on elevating the company’s brand, communications, and media presence, supported by an internal digital marketing team. This is a hands-on, standalone role, ideal for someone currently immersed in practical marketing tools and strategies.
In this all-encompassing position with a scale-up business in an emerging industry, you will be responsible for planning, strategising, and executing marketing initiatives in close alignment with the CEO. We seek a visionary thinker and proactive doer to lead the marketing efforts.
The main roles and responsibilities for this position will include the following:
- Create, implement and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program.
- Coordinate media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
- Support leadership team on key client pitches through the clever use of branding to bring key messages and commercial proposals to life.
- Oversee and accountable for the marketing and communications budget, including creation and forecasting.
- Planning and budget creation for events.
- Develop and grow product brand and customer recognition through all core channels (SEM/SEO, content strategy, social media channels, direct email campaigns etc)
- Overseeing the social media strategy.
- Proactively review campaign metrics to determine what is working and what can be improved or optimised for all marketing campaigns.
You’ll Need
We would love to talk with candidates who have 6+ years experience in Marketing & Communications coupled with a creative flair and commercial acumen.
You will also be able to demonstrate experience across with:
- Security & Defence sector experience not required, however a deep appreciation about some of the nuances within security and defence is required.
- Bringing cutting edge marketing skills from B2C and B2B industries into the security and defence sector
- Big consumer brand marketing experience is beneficial
- Experience creating viral campaigns
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written/verbal communication
- Motivated self-starter
- High degree of attention to detail
- Creative lateral thinker
