Working with a well-known global marketer, publisher, distributor, and producer of digital entertainment products and content across Gaming, Software, and Films, we have an opportunity for an exceptional Financial Controller to work with an incredible team and a company that prides themselves on the culture and collaborative nature.
Day to Day
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will have oversight of the finance management and accounting of the newly consolidated Asia Pacific region
The main roles and responsibilities for this position will include the following:
  • Collaborating with Executives, key heads of department and the Group team for preparation of the annual operating plan.
  • Preparation of Consolidated Asia Pacific management reports for key stakeholders, including local and global management team and the Board. Providing analysis and insight into actual performance compared to budget.
  • Ownership of the banking and treasury function, including cashflow management and forecasting, payment approvals, FX trading and banking relations
  • Completion of the monthly close process for our Japan and Hong Kong businesses
  • Responsible for payroll processing with the support of the office manager
  • Ensuring compliance with financial and taxation laws, audits and regulations
  • Key contact for external and group tax advisers on taxation requirements including GST, transfer pricing and Country by Country Reporting
  • Liaising and engaging with external accountants on audits, completion of statutory accounts and company secretarial requirements
  • Managing key overhead contracts including leases, insurance policies, etc.
  • SAP system management
  • Leading new finance and development projects within the region.
You’ll Need
We would love to talk with candidates who have 3+ experience in a Senior Commercial Finance role in gaming/entertainment or FMCG industry.
You will also be able to demonstrate experience by having:
  • Qualified Accountant is essential, either CPA or CA.
  • Significant experience with forecasting and budgeting
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects
  • Will be results-oriented and will do what it takes to get the job done with attention to detail
  • SAP is essential
  • Experience with Power BI and other KPI modeling tools
