Talent Realised are delighted to be partnering with a global, well known, market leading Financial Services Business. We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Group Finance function as the Finance and Accounting Manager. This is a pivotal role, assisting the CFO and leading the corporate team across three key areas: Corporate Accounting, Regulatory/Fiscal Reporting, and Management. Based in their lovely Sydney offices, there is also hybrid working on offer with days at home and in the offices.
Day to Day
Reporting to the CFO this role manages the accounting, taxation, treasury and financial governance and compliance of the company. You will own the general accounting activities, prepare financial statements and tax declarations, manage the cash flow and ensure the compliance of any accounting, fiscal, financial rules and laws relevant for the business. This role also manages the Payables and Receivables functions.
The main roles and responsibilities for this position will include the following:
- Management and financial reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Treasury - Cash Flow Management
- Taxation – Company Income Tax including consolidated Tax Return
- Statutory Compliance – Ensuring compliance with all external Regulatory Authorities
- Accounts Payables and Receivables
- Financial systems implementation and improvements
- Group Consolidation and Reporting – Preparation of Consolidation Package
- Asset Accounting – Running monthly Depreciation and reconciling all Asset Registers
You’ll Need
We would love to talk to candidates with 5+ years CA or CPA qualification experience who possess the following skills:
- In depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- In depth knowledge of Australian Tax Law
- Ability to provide financial & commercial advice to senior management and the Director
- Ability to constantly improve reporting and finance systems to increase the effectiveness of reporting
- Multi-tasking and International experience necessary
- Highly effective communication skills are crucial.
