A leading creative studio is looking for a Director of Operations to build the structure, systems and clarity that support their growing teams across Australia, Europe and the US. This is a senior leadership role that sits across people and culture, IT operations, facilities, risk, compliance and business operations.

Your New Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for creating order, clarity, and consistency across 3 studios - 1 in Sydney, 1 in the US, and 1 in Europe. You will transform high-level strategy into clear operational plans and support the CEO and CCO by removing distractions, protecting their time, and ensuring their teams have the necessary resources to deliver.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee day to day operations across Australia, Europe, and the US
- Lead HR operations though ownership of the operational risk, policy, and compliance framework
- Oversee IT operations
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and operational planning
- Support legal and contracting processes
- Align systems and workflows across regions and improve ways of working
- Bring structure, clarity, and communication to a complex creative environment
Who You Are
You have spent the last 7-10+ years experience in senior operations leadership within complex and fast growing organisations A proven track record building and running HR operations, IT operations, facilities, compliance and business operations Strong understanding of contracts, policy, governance and risk, ideally working alongside legal counsel Experience designing policies, frameworks and documentation that support compliance and consistent ways of working Experience in project based environments supporting technical or creative teams such as tech, SaaS, gaming, media, production or creative agencies Capability in budget management, vendor negotiation and data informed decision making Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior executives.
It is highly regarded if you have:
- Experience in animation, VFX, games, film, TV, or creative industries
- Experience working across multiple sites or international regions
- Familiarity with WHS requirements in studio environments and experience with HRIS or project management tools
- Experience preparing organisations for audits, certifications or commercial due diligence
