Day to Day
At its core, this role sees the creation of category & channel strategies based on market & retail insights, shopper insights and consumer understanding, which ensures our client leads the agenda with their key retail partners.
You will build Category Strategies and Channel Strategies to effectively meet the needs of the Consumer / Shopper, and the customers. The role leads Shopper engagement across the organisation and sets the agenda to drive closer collaboration with retailers through category expertise, shopper & market insight and a “joint business planning” way of working.
The main roles and responsibilities of this position will include the following:
  • To facilitate the creation and implementation of the Category strategies by Channel, to effectively meet the needs of the Consumer / Shopper, our client, and their key Customers.
  • To lead the Channel strategies across the 4 P’s (Price, Promotion, Product (Range) and Placement) to ensure consistency with the trade and achievement of the priorities that best meet shopper / consumer needs and jointly achieve business results with our clients trading partners.
  • Drive MyPS inputs and success criteria across all channels (primary shelf, FOS, display) with a focus on how our clients products and the category appears for optimal shopping ease & conversion.
  • Achieve pre-store & in- store visibility to optimise ATL investment and convert shoppers to purchase our clients products ahead of competitors.
  • To lead the Integrated Business Planning Process & the Commercial phase of the S&OP process.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of revenue growth management (including trade spend & other advertising & promotion) optimisation, business intelligence & reporting.
You’ll Need

As a senior role within the business, we would love to talk with experienced FMCG Category Directors who have proven experience of 10+ years working within FMCG environment. You naturally have superior analytical skills (because you’re really good at it and you really love it) and the ability to take internal, international and key external partners on the category sales journey and create opportunities for our clients products to be at the forefront of every customers mind when shopping!
