The Opportunity

A globally recognised & respected name in the Financial Services Industry is currently seeking the talents of a well-honed Level 2 Desktop Support superstar to undertake a 6 month contract role within their Sydney based team.
This is a client facing role that will see you working autonomously, reporting to a local team lead with a pre-established support network of a 24/7 Service Desk.
Day to Day
  • Accountable for desktop infrastructure support within a global team you will work closely with your manager and team to develop and deliver pro-active solutions to Windows / Linux / Apple based infrastructure issues.
  • Serve as a local point of escalation for all end user queries and issues ensuring effective documentation and knowledge sharing of all applicable fixes.
  • Work within a close-knit team to maintain high levels of support and maximize system availability.
  • Develop and maintain SLA's and compliance within a corporate financial environment.
  • Develop and maintain Windows systems and deployment processes – ensuring that issues are documented, and all clients are supported in majority of broke / fix issues.
  • Ensure adherence to all international policies, processes and procedures as well as support continual service improvement activity where appropriate.
What You’ll Need…
  • You’ll have 3+ years of experience in a support-based role – preferably with face to face communication.
  • You have proven knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure and products including: Win7, Win10, and Microsoft Office Application Suite.
  • You’re comfortable providing multi-client support.
  • You have a proven ability to multitask and understand how to prioritize your workload.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Practical understanding of the following:
  • Networking LAN/WAN and TCP/IP, VPN is required.
  • UNIX / Linux with basic Bash command skills is highly desirable.
  • PXE imaging service with a focus on multiple of operating systems (Windows, Apple, Linux).
You will also be able to demonstrate experience with:
  • Troubleshooting and providing support for mail clients including: Outlook, Office 365 (an understanding of Exchange 2003–2019 infrastructure/administration is desirable).
  • Effectively dealing with client requirements and expectations.
  • Enterprise Domain Admin (Apple, Android, Windows phones and Mobile Iron).
  • Desktop virtualization (Citrix).
  • MAC OS desktop environment understanding / Troubleshooting is highly desirable.
  • Active Directory is a must (Domain admin level desirable).
  • Documenting / transferring of knowledge and pro-active improvement plans.
Ideal Qualities:
  • ITIL foundation certified
  • MCDE or MCSE Certified
